Thistle Initiatives supports Pollen Street Capital with regulatory due diligence for its recommended offer for Mattioli Woods
On 8 March 2024, Pollen Street Capital, a private equity company, announced a recommended offer to acquire Mattioli Woods, a UK-based advice firm with £15bn in assets under management and 20,000 clients. The offer remains subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals, taking the number of advice firms in the UK backed by private equity to 37.
Pollen Street Capital engaged Thistle Initiatives' Mergers and Acquisitions team to assess Mattioli Woods' compliance with regulatory requirements as part of their due diligence. In its announcement, Mattioli Woods stated that the acquisition offers an attractive offer for its shareholders while also providing an opportunity to accelerate growth across its core pillars of advice, investment, and administration.
