Latest regulatory initiatives grid published
Summary
The Financial Services Regulatory Initiatives Forum has published the seventh edition of its twice-yearly grid of planned regulatory initiatives over the coming 24-month period.
By publishing the grid every six months, the FCA and the other regulatory, governmental and financial institutions who constitute the Forum aim to help the financial services industry and other stakeholders anticipate, and plan for, the impact of planned regulatory interventions.
The fallout from the publication of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2023 is a central point of reference for the updated grid, influencing initiatives such as ensuring cash access services are provided on a fair basis for consumers.
Other notable developments include making adjustments around the Prudential Regulatory Authority’s Strong and Simple reforms, which have led to amendments to the implementation timetable for Basel 3.1 standards, which have now been delayed by six months.
