Payments provider Klarna has developed and rolled out a service that allows customers to share data with merchants and so enable more efficient checkouts and personalised offers. Customers opt-in to share data and can then opt-in to membership programmes offered by the merchant.
Since Apple and Google’s removal of third-party cookies made it harder for payment services to speed payments by autofilling customer details, the usability and ease of Sign-In with Klarna is making it a popular alternative to Apple and Google in the online verification industry.
Following a successful launch in Sweden, the service has also been implemented in companies across Norway, Finland, Denmark, Netherlands, Austria, and Germany.
